Ex- Physician Accused of Assault Charges Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor now faces charges for carrying out assaults involving 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Serious Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
One senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
