Experts said additional actions are necessary to locate the vanished minors. "Minors have not opted to disappear. These minors should be participating in activities in the park and getting ready for their GCSEs, not being exploited by smuggling networks in conditions we know entail being restrained, physically and sexually assaulted, and penalized by being starved of food."

Regulatory Updates and Persistent Problems

An additional official commented: "The security and care of lone migrant youths stays important, and we take children disappearing very gravely. We persist in periodically examine our procedures for developments if this happens, sharing pertinent data with area authorities and district officials investigating the issue."
