Ten sentenced of digital abuse targeting Brigitte Macron

A French judicial body has ruled against ten people for engaging in the cyber-bullying of Brigitte Macron, the spouse of French President, Emmanuel Macron.
The defendants faced allegations of disseminating untruths regarding her sex and sexual orientation, in addition to making hurtful comments about the pair's 24-year age gap.
The court issued suspended prison sentences of up to eight months to the convicted individuals. The detailed judgment has yet to be released.
A longstanding false narrative alleging that Brigitte Macron is a transgender woman has existed since her husband's rise to the presidency in 2017.
This recent ruling in France is concurrent with the Macrons engaging in a defamation lawsuit in the United States of America against political commentator Candace Owens, who has likewise promoted analogous false narratives about the Brigitte Macron's biological sex.
Their legal filing contends that Owens brushed aside substantial counter-evidence disproving her claim opting to platforming known conspiracy theorists.
Owens has regularly repeated these assertions on her show and social networks, and in March 2024 stated that she would stake her entire professional reputation on her conviction that Mrs. Macron is biologically male.
Brigitte Macron originally became acquainted with her current spouse when she was a teacher at his secondary school.
The pair married in 2007, when the future French president was 29 and she was approximately 54 years old.
