Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be irritant spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. Several persons went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
